Fourth year coming here. Dave is very accommodating about off season times. Hosts are friendly and eager to help in any way. Beautiful scenery, right on the lake. Always got a great boat and motor. Nice lake, good fishing and plenty of places to get out for a picnic. Lots of loons and blue herons. Great Lake for trout and bass. Thank you Dave and Bev. Hope to see you next year!
In July of this year, we spent another great week at Birch Crest Resort. This was the 4th time our family and extended family have been to this resort and it did not disappoint. The beautiful setting on Horn Lake is exactly what we came for. This resort has a great beach area for your favourite activities, fantastic fishing, and an incredible waterfront. The cabins/cottages are fully furnished and beautifully situated on the lakefront. Looking forward to returning next year.
My husband, golden retriever and I visited Birch Crest for a quick last minute getaway in August. Dave was very helpful in accommodating us in the process of booking and arrival. We stayed in a small cabin right on the water and were able to rent a fishing boat for the weekend. The accommodations were what we were expecting - a small cabin. Nothing super fancy, but all the items needed to make your stay comfortable and simple. Dave and Bev were able to be reached when needed for worms, wood or more gas for the boat. The lake is very clean, clear and beautiful. We didn't manage to catch the big fish, but there were plenty of small perch, bass and sunfish. Thanks for the great getaway - we'll be seeing you again!
My sister found this pet friendly resort by chance 7 years ago and we are glad she did. Both of our families have enjoyed all the amenities that are included with your stay. The natural beauty of Horn Lake is right outside your cabin door; from swimming, boating, fishing and cliff jumping your day will be filled with many outdoor adventures. During our recent stay owners Bev and Dave went above and beyond to ensure our comfort when Mother Nature was at her worst. We are already planning our next vacation and highly recommend Birchcrest Resort.
As a General Manager with Choice Hotels, I must state that this resort is extremely well run. It is a family business so you get friendly service from people that all care about the park. We stay regularly and love it. As a Hotelier I do not give reviews lightly but this park goes above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and safe. Park fees are comparable or lower than other parks. Want some advice? If you want the beautiful outdoors with a hardworking family to make your stay pleasant then come to the park and make it your home away from home. I highly recommend it.
